Dual language subtitles

Dual language subtitles can be created on Zille by first creating a blueprint and output for this, and then adding that output to your projects.

Once you've added dual language subtitles to your project you can then select which languages should be part of your dual language subtitles, and assign tasks to different linguists for each language.

In the Timed-Text Editor each language can be worked on separately, but the subtitles are still created as one connected file.

Task permissions

When creating separate tasks for different languages you have the option of giving each task different permissions, for example so that only one of the people working on a task can update the timings of the duall language subtitles, whilst the other person only edits the actual text within each subtitle.

Task permissions can be edited by clicking on the 'expand' icon in the top-left corner of the task (only visible when hovering)

This can also be set as default in your blueprints by creating two different tasks, eg. 'First language authoring' and 'Second language authoring' and giving different permissions to both tasks.
